Help CenterA billing code is attached to any EC2 instance you create when using our products in Amazon Web Services. This billing code can be found on the root volume of your instance.
If our products detect that this billing code is missing, they may emit an error and shut down, or offer some form of severely reduced service.
When cloning any of our products for use within your environment, please ensure you do not remove these Marketplace Product Code tags from the root volume.
